Jerry Kachel – President & Chief of Operations
Jerry Kachel has been in the construction industry since 1979 when he founded Jerry Kachel Builder, Inc. Jerry has established good relationships with some of the strongest restaurant developers over the years due to his dedication to provide quality and service to the client. Under Jerry’s guidance, the company has grown to be one of the most recognized general contractors in restaurant construction.
New Construction Divison
Greg Knowlton – Vice President of Operations
Greg graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Resource Management and Forestry. He was the former Vice President and General Manager of one of the largest wholesale nurseries in Texas for twenty-seven years. He has a highly diverse background, which includes sales, organization and management, wood frame and site construction. Greg joined Jerry Kachel Builder as a Project Manager.
Bill Beam – Project Manager
Bill worked as a project superintendent for Jerry Kachel Builder from 1996 until 2011 when he took a position as a Project Manager with another construction company. In 2015 Bill rejoined Jerry Kachel Builder as a Project Manager supervising renovation projects for Buffalo Wild Wings, Outback Steak House and Stazione’s Deli projects.
Dane Kachel – New Construction Project Manager
Dane has spent the last several years as a Field Superintendent before becoming a Project Manager doing ground up projects. This gave him exposure to pad excavation, moisture conditioning of soils, lime and concrete stabilization for site pavement both concrete and asphalt. Dane has an eye for straight, level and crisp construction lines on buildings and finishes. He knows that quality is what sells projects and what the client expects.
BJ Etters – New Construction Coordinator
B.J. joined Jerry Kachel Builder, Inc. in 1994 as an Administrative Assistant. She has been with the company through their growth from a small three-person office to an office of 15 employees. She assists the new construction Project Managers with their paperwork and job setups as well as maintaining working relationships between subcontractors, insurance companies and others.
Richard Berlin – Renovation Division Manager
Rich began working for Jerry Kachel Builder in 1984 and supervised projects across the nation as the company was expanding. Jerry Kachel Builder was touching markets nationwide and in 1993 Mr. Berlin developed the Renovation and Build-Out Division. Clients have been upgrading their brands across America for the last 20 years and continue to rely on our Renovation team for a modern and fresh image.
Jeff Hill – Renovation Project Manager
Jeff joined Jerry Kachel Builder in 2012 as a Superintendent handling approximately 45 Popeye’s re-image projects for Travel Centers of America. He was promoted to Project Manager in 2013 and has been handling tenant build outs and remodels for Popeye’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Starbucks, and YUM Brands (Taco Bell/Pizza Hut) restaurants. Jeff brings experience in sales, owning/operating his own remodeling business, and dedication to growing business relationships with clients.
Bill Slater – Renovation Project Manager
Kristie Kachel New – Renovation Construction Coordinator
Kristie joined Jerry Kachel Builder, Inc. in 1998 upon graduating from Texas A & M University as an Estimating Assistant. Since then she has worn many hats including, Receptionist, New Construction Project Coordinator, Warranty Manager and Office Manager. Since 2016, she has been the Construction Coordinator for the Renovation Department, assisting with job setup and timely completion of documents to clients, subcontractors and vendors.
Chuck New – Estimating Department Manager
Chuck joined the Jerry Kachel Builder team in 1999 as Project Manager. He is working on casual dining and quick serve restaurants. Chuck has been in the construction industry since 1979. He attended the school of American Concrete Institute (ACI) and is very knowledgeable in concrete methods and application. His background in Project Management is a definite asset to Estimating as he is well aware of the possible disruptions on site that could affect budgets.
